Joski plans 2009
Hi,
2008 was interesting - some good gigs - especially The Grand in April but also Punk in Oxford St in July. These gigs saw the band becoming a sound to be reckoned with. Sadly we lost Mark and Emmet as Guitar and bass but have found a new bass man - Kukat - who is more than capable and very musical.
Alex, our drummer, is cutting down his music commitments due to pressure in his last year at Imperial College and so to complete the Joski four-piece line up for 2009 we will need a new drummer. Ads have been placed and the bush telegraph is active - so if you are a drummer? Get in touch.
Lots of new songs were written in 2008 - ‘Your’e One’, ‘Whadya Want’, ‘Howard Roark’, ‘I need your love’, ‘I know we’re from the Stars’ . The first three of these are available as free downloads and with the exception of the odd edit or two they will be the tracks that become part of the EP due for release in early 2009.
To release this EP is part of the JoskiMuisc plan for 2009. The other parts of the plan are to launch the new website, recruit a new drummer and get gigging.
Another part of the plan is to use the new website as a hub to connect with everyone out there and to get reaction to new songs and input and to see what people think about things. The new site is up there but not completely finished as the Merchandise store and Forum are yet to be added as well as the more complete Music page.
We hope you all have a great year! - That you find satisfaction and success in all that you do. We hope for the same thing too. will keep you guys updated on our plans and news.
Enjoy,
Joski
